Effects that have no noticeable delay are part of the android SoundPool in the game.
Including sound assets in the sound pool allows Android to play back the sound directly, and not pass the sound file through the Android audio engine and FAM.
Sound effects in the SoundPool include any mechanical sound effects:
Flippers
Pop Bumpers
Sling Shots
Saucer Ejects
Vertical Up-kickers (VUK)
Game-specific effects like motors, or balls rolling on habitrails.
Balls interacting with metal side rails or rubbers.
